How to Fund Solana Wallets Straight From an Exchange

One exchange withdrawal can fund every launch wallet. Network, memo, fees and minimums on the exchange side, and how a one-time deposit address splits it.

If your SOL sits on an exchange, the slow way to fund launch wallets is to withdraw to one wallet, then send from it to every other wallet, paying attention to rent on each. The fast way is one withdrawal to a one-time deposit address that splits itself across all of them. This guide covers the exchange side - networks, minimums, fees - and what happens on arrival.

Before you withdraw: three exchange details

1. Pick the Solana network

Exchanges often offer SOL on several networks. Choose Solana (sometimes shown as "SOL"). Sending SOL over another network to a Solana address is the classic way to lose funds. A Solana address is 32 to 44 characters of letters and numbers, without a 0x prefix.

2. No memo needed

A deposit address in your own wallet doesn't need a memo or tag. If the exchange shows a memo field, leave it empty.

3. Withdrawal fee and minimum

Exchanges charge a withdrawal fee and set a minimum withdrawal, and both vary by exchange and over time - check them on the withdrawal screen. Watch whether the fee is taken from the amount you enter: if it is, the address receives a little less than you typed. Enter the amount you need to arrive plus the fee.

The one-time deposit address

In SolBundle, Fund wallets opens one window: tick the wallets, type a total and split it equally, randomly or by hand, then choose Phantom / exchange. You get a fresh address with a QR code and the exact amount to send - shown in full, never rounded down - each with a copy button. The address is new, so it has no history linking it to anything you used before.

Paste the address into the exchange's withdrawal form, or scan the QR code with its mobile app, and send at least the amount shown. It already includes the network fees of splitting it - 0.000006 SOL for every 8 wallets.

What happens when it arrives

  1. The window moves from Awaiting deposit to Funded the moment enough is on the address.
  2. Distributing: it is split across your wallets, 8 transfers per transaction.
  3. Complete: a Done screen with every transaction link.

Exchange withdrawals can take minutes. You don't need to watch: close the window or leave the page, and the deposit is still watched and split when it lands. Details are in funding a launch with one deposit address and the deposit docs.

If the amount isn't exact

  • Up to 0.001 SOL short - common when an exchange deducts its fee - is split anyway, with the shortfall taken from the largest top-up.
  • More short than that: send the difference to the same address and it goes out once the total is there.
  • Too much: the extra stays on the deposit address, listed on the Wallets page under Deposit addresses for you to collect.

Mind the rent minimum

A brand-new wallet can't receive less than about 0.00089 SOL - Solana's rent minimum - so tiny top-ups to empty wallets fail. The window warns you before you start; the details are in Solana's rent minimum explained.

Funding the other way - collecting SOL back to an exchange - is one click too: collect to an external address.

Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw SOL from an exchange to several wallets at once?

An exchange withdrawal goes to one address. Send it to a one-time deposit address that splits it across your wallets automatically, and one withdrawal funds them all.

Which network should I choose when withdrawing SOL?

Solana. Sending SOL over another network to a Solana address can lose the funds. A Solana address has 32 to 44 letters and numbers and no 0x prefix.

Do I need a memo to withdraw SOL to my wallet?

No. A wallet address doesn't need a memo or tag; leave the field empty.

What if the exchange fee makes the deposit slightly short?

In SolBundle a deposit up to 0.001 SOL short is still split, with the difference taken from the largest top-up. If it is more short than that, send the difference to the same address.
