Pump.fun vs LetsBonk vs Bags: Which Launchpad to Use

The three big Solana launchpads side by side - programs, addresses, token program, extra SOL per wallet, migration and creator fees - checked on live tokens.

Three launchpads cover most new Solana memecoins: pump.fun, LetsBonk (bonk.fun) and Bags (bags.fm). From the outside they look alike - a bonding curve, a graduation point, a pool after that. Under the hood they run on three different programs, and the differences show up in the address, the wallet costs, where the token goes after the curve and who earns fees. Here is a side-by-side, checked against live tokens.

The token program, decimals and authorities in this table come from reading live mint accounts of tokens from each launchpad, not from documentation.

Pump.fun: the default

The largest audience and the most tooling: screeners, bots and bundle checkers are built for pump.fun first. New pump.fun tokens are Token-2022 mints with metadata stored on the mint itself (Token-2022 vs SPL Token). Buys pay in plain SOL, so wallets need nothing extra. After graduation the token moves to PumpSwap (what changes). The creator earns creator fees, claimed from the dev wallet.

LetsBonk: Raydium under the hood

LetsBonk tokens are created on Raydium LaunchLab and migrate to a Raydium pool, so after the curve they sit in one of the most liquid venues on Solana. Buys are paid in wrapped SOL, which costs each wallet ~0.002 SOL of temporary rent that comes back in the same transaction. The ...bonk address is part of the brand - buyers notice a LetsBonk token without one. Guide: launching on LetsBonk.

Bags: fees as the product

Bags sets up a fee-share config before each token, so the creator (or the wallets they name) earns a share of trading fees on the curve and after migration. That setup costs the dev wallet ~0.03 SOL more. Bags tokens have 9 decimals, so raw token amounts look 1000x bigger in explorers than the same holding on pump.fun - only a display difference. Guide: launching on Bags.

How to choose

  • Widest reach and tooling: pump.fun.
  • The bonk community and a Raydium pool after the curve: LetsBonk.
  • Ongoing creator income as the point of the token: Bags.

What doesn't change between them: the launch mechanics. In SolBundle the dev buy, up to 8 bundle wallets in the launch block and up to 200 snipe wallets work the same on all three; the wizard adds the per-platform extras to each wallet's funding automatically. The Terminal trades all three while they are on the curve.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper to launch on: pump.fun, LetsBonk or Bags?

Pump.fun needs the least extra SOL per wallet. LetsBonk and Bags need about 0.002 SOL more per buying wallet for the wSOL wrap, refunded in the same transaction, and Bags needs about 0.03 SOL more on the dev wallet for its fee-share config.

Do LetsBonk and Bags tokens have revoked mint authority?

Yes. Live LetsBonk and Bags mints, like pump.fun ones, have no mint authority and no freeze authority.

Can one tool launch on all three?

SolBundle launches on pump.fun, LetsBonk, Raydium LaunchLab and Bags with the same bundle and snipe options.
