How to Launch a Token on LetsBonk (bonk.fun)
A step-by-step LetsBonk launch: the ...bonk address, the Raydium LaunchLab curve, the extra SOL per wallet and bundle and snipe buys in the launch block.
LetsBonk (bonk.fun) is the second big memecoin launchpad on Solana after pump.fun. Under the hood it isn't a separate program: every LetsBonk token is created on Raydium LaunchLab, with LetsBonk set as the platform. That matters for a launch, because the curve, the costs and the place the token goes after the curve are Raydium's, not pump.fun's. This guide walks through a LetsBonk launch end to end - with a dev buy, bundle wallets in the launch block and snipe wallets right after.
What makes a LetsBonk token different
- Address ending in "bonk". bonk.fun gives its tokens a mint address that ends in
bonk. It is a cosmetic vanity address, not an on-chain requirement - more in how vanity token addresses work. - A LaunchLab bonding curve. 1 billion tokens with 6 decimals; about 793.1 million of them are sold on the curve. The curve completes when it has raised 85 SOL (how LaunchLab works).
- Migration to Raydium. When the curve completes, the token and the raised SOL move into a Raydium CPMM pool, where it keeps trading on bonk.fun, Raydium and every aggregator.
- Buys are paid in wrapped SOL. Every buy wraps SOL into a temporary wSOL account, so each buying wallet needs about 0.002 SOL extra that comes back in the same transaction (wSOL explained).
Before you start
- Prepare the metadata. Name (up to 32 characters), ticker (up to 10), image, description and socials. It can't be edited after launch, so go through the metadata checklist first.
- Decide the buy plan. How much the dev wallet buys, how many wallets buy in the launch block and how many snipe right after. Choosing a buy mode and how many wallets to use cover the trade-offs.
- Fund the wallets. Each wallet needs its buy, the wSOL extra (~0.002 SOL) and a small buffer for rent, tips and fees. The bundle cost calculator adds it up.
Step by step in SolBundle
- Platform. On the first step of the Launch wizard pick LetsBonk. Raydium LaunchLab is the same program without the bonk.fun branding - pick it if you want the token listed on Raydium's own launchpad instead.
- Token details. Name, ticker, image, description, socials. The metadata is uploaded to IPFS during the launch.
- Dev wallet. The wallet that creates the token and makes the first buy, in the same transaction as the creation.
- Buy mode, bundle and snipe wallets. Up to 8 bundle wallets buy in the same Jito bundle as the creation - all-or-nothing, in the launch block. Up to 200 snipe wallets fire right after. Every short wallet gets a Fund button with the exact amount it is missing.
- Review and launch. The review shows the totals per wallet. Launch, and the result card shows the mint with its
...bonkaddress, links to bonk.fun and Solscan, and a Trade on bonk.fun link.
After the launch
While the token is on the curve you can buy and sell from all your wallets at once in the Terminal - it trades LaunchLab tokens directly on the curve. Once the curve hits 85 SOL and the token migrates, the Terminal badge says so and you keep trading it on bonk.fun or Raydium. For a quick read of how the launch looks from outside, run the mint through the holder checker and the first buyers scanner.
Common mistakes on LetsBonk
- Funding wallets with exactly the buy amount. The wSOL wrap and the new token account both need SOL on top. A wallet short by 0.002 SOL fails its buy.
- Expecting pump.fun numbers. The curve shape and graduation point are LaunchLab's. Plan the buys with LaunchLab in mind - see the launchpad comparison.
- Typos in the metadata. There is no edit button after launch. Read the ticker twice.
Frequently asked questions
Is LetsBonk the same as Raydium LaunchLab?
LetsBonk tokens are created on Raydium LaunchLab with LetsBonk set as the platform. The program, curve and migration to Raydium are the same; the platform decides where the token is listed and branded.
Why does a LetsBonk token address end in bonk?
It is a vanity address ground in advance. Nothing on-chain requires it - the token works the same with any address - but bonk.fun uses it as its signature, and SolBundle hands out pre-ground ...bonk addresses for LetsBonk launches.
How much SOL does a LetsBonk token need to complete its curve?
With the default LaunchLab settings the curve completes at 85 SOL raised, then the token migrates to a Raydium pool.
Can I bundle buys on LetsBonk like on pump.fun?
Yes. In SolBundle the dev buy, up to 8 bundle wallets in the launch block and up to 200 snipe wallets work the same on LetsBonk as on pump.fun. Each buying wallet needs about 0.002 SOL extra for the wSOL wrap.
