GLOSSARY
Solana & Pump.fun
Glossary.
The words that come up around a token launch - bundles, block 0, Jito tips, bonding curves, snipe wallets - each explained in a sentence or two, with a link to go deeper.
- Atomic bundle
- A group of transactions that lands all-or-nothing: either every transaction executes in the same block, in order, or none of them do. On Solana this is what a Jito bundle gives you.
- How same-block bundling works
- Block 0 (launch block)
- The block in which a token is created. Buys that land in this same block, right after the creation, are the earliest possible buys and leave no gap for outside snipers in between.
- Same-slot vs bundled buys
- Bonding curve
- The pricing formula a Pump.fun token trades on before it graduates. Price is set by the curve's virtual SOL and token reserves: every buy raises it and every sell lowers it.
- Bonding Curve Calculator
- Bundle
- Several transactions submitted together to land in one block. For a token launch, a bundle usually means the creation plus buys from several wallets packed into one Jito bundle.
- Bundle checker
- A tool that reads a token's first on-chain transactions to show how many wallets bought in the launch block and how much of the supply they took.
- Solana Bundle Checker
- Bundle wallet
- A wallet that buys inside the launch bundle itself, in the same block as the token creation, rather than after it.
- How many wallets for a bundle launch
- Collect
- Sweeping the SOL left on several wallets back into one wallet after a launch or trading session.
- Collect to an external wallet
- Creator fee
- A share of trading fees on a Pump.fun token that accrues to its creator wallet and can be claimed.
- Claiming Pump.fun creator fees
- Deposit address
- A one-time address you send SOL to from any wallet or exchange; once the deposit arrives it is split across the wallets you chose.
- Fund wallets from an exchange
- Dev buy
- The buy the creator wallet makes in the token's own creation transaction.
- Dev wallet (creator wallet)
- The wallet that signs and pays for a token's creation and shows on-chain as its creator.
- Dev Wallet Checker
- First buyers
- The earliest wallets to buy a token after launch. What they do next - hold or sell - is a common research signal.
- First Buyers Scanner
- Graduation
- The moment a Pump.fun bonding curve completes and the token's liquidity moves to PumpSwap, where it trades as a regular pool.
- After graduation: PumpSwap
- Holder concentration
- How much of a token's supply sits with its largest holders, usually shown as top-10 or top-20 share.
- Holder Checker
- Jito
- Solana block-building infrastructure that accepts bundles and passes them to participating validators, who include them in a block in order and all-or-nothing.
- Jito tip
- A SOL payment to Jito validators that makes a bundle worth including. It goes to validators, not to the tool you launch with.
- Jito tips explained
- Lamport
- The smallest unit of SOL: 1 SOL = 1,000,000,000 lamports.
- Landed vs confirmed
- A bundle can be accepted by Jito and still never land in a block. A launch has only happened once its transaction is confirmed on-chain.
- Landed vs confirmed launch status
- LaunchLab (LetsBonk)
- Raydium's bonding-curve launchpad. LetsBonk (bonk.fun) and Raydium's own launch page both create tokens on it: the token trades on a curve against SOL and migrates to a Raydium pool once the curve has raised its target.
- Mempool exposure
- The window in which a pending transaction can be seen and reacted to before it lands. Private bundles avoid broadcasting your buys publicly first.
- Mempool exposure explained
- Mint address (CA)
- The token's on-chain address - what you paste into an explorer, a DEX or a checker to look a token up.
- Priority fee
- An optional extra fee per compute unit that helps a regular (non-bundle) transaction get included sooner.
- PumpSwap
- Pump.fun's AMM, where a token trades after it graduates from the bonding curve.
- Rent minimum
- The minimum SOL (about 0.00089 SOL) a Solana account must hold to exist. An empty wallet can't receive less than that in one transfer.
- Solana rent minimum explained
- Same-slot buys
- Buys that land in the same slot as the creation. Not every same-slot buy is part of the creator's bundle - outside bots can land in that slot too.
- Same-slot vs bundled buys
- Slippage
- The most the price may move against you between sending a trade and it executing before the trade is rejected.
- Slot
- Solana's unit of time for producing a block, about 400 ms.
- Snipe wallet
- A wallet that buys right after the launch block rather than inside it. Snipe buys are faster than manual buying but not atomic with the creation.
- Snipe, bundle or both
- Sniper
- An outside bot that tries to buy new tokens in the first blocks after creation.
- Sniper bot protection explained
- SPL token / Token-2022
- Solana's token standards. Classic SPL tokens use the original Token Program; Token-2022 is the newer program with extensions. Pump.fun tokens use one or the other.
- Virtual reserves
- The SOL and token amounts a bonding curve prices from. They start above the real reserves so the curve has a sensible starting price.
- Bonding curve formula, verified
- Wallet PnL
- Profit and loss of a wallet's trades - SOL received from sells minus SOL spent on buys.
- Wallet PnL checker
